RTG Delegation visits Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA)

On July 3, 2024, a delegation of RTG members visited the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (Bayerisches Landeskriminalamt, BLKA) in Munich. They were greeted by vice president Limmer and had the opportunity to interact with members of the digital forensics and cybercrime units at BLKA. The collaboration rests upon a cooperation agreement between BLKA and FAU that was signed in October 2023. From the FAU side, Lea Uhlenbrock presented new research results on the detection of deepfakes, and Dr. Johanna Hahn discussed legal questions on the regulation of automatic face recognition in the AI act of the European Union.
